The Project
Management Practical introduces City managers to current project
management theories and practices supported by the Project Management
Institute (PMI). The program is designed to help participants develop
recognized project management skills, and through the building of
professional networks, allow them to collaborate with other project
management professionals.
Content
The Project Management Practical focuses on three phases of project management; Project Organization & Clarification, Project Planning, and Project Execution. Through classroom dialogue and application of project management theory, participants work through “real-life” scenarios and learn to bring projects to a successful completion. Classroom study is supported with expeditionary learning and in-depth discussions with City project managers who lead large-scale project initiatives.
The Project
Management Practical meets weekly, for one full day, during the winter
months. For further information, please review the Project Management
