On November 18, 2010, at the invitation of Commissioner Vincent Schiraldi, Deputy Commissioner for Citywide EEO, Diane Crothers,  presented an EEO/Cultural Diversity Award at the Department of Probation’s Staff Recognition event. Deputy Commissioner Crothers presented the award to Probation Officer Frenchtress Oliver for developing a program in which youth on probation visit many of the City’s distinct neighborhoods as a way to learn about cultures other than their own.  One of the most memorable experiences for the youth was speaking to a Holocaust survivor at the Jewish Heritage Museum.
