Mr. Fishman's presentation included a discussion of some of the most common issues employers are facing. For example: what to do when employees bring religion to the workplace; request prayer time; and share their faith with co-workers, subordinates, customers and the public. Mr. Fishman offered practical solutions, tips to avoid religious discrimination and answered the questions posed by the participants.

Over 30 city agency representatives from 22 agencies attended the session on workplace expressions of religious beliefs during the holiday season and the agencies’ obligation to accommodate various religious practices under federal, state and local laws.
