The Green Book, the official directory of the City of New York, is an indispensable reference guide for anyone living in or working in or with New York City.

The 2008-2009 Green Book cover shows the Statue of Liberty holding a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) and invites New Yorkers to “Help Make NYC Greener.” By switching to CFLs, New Yorkers can save money and energy – a CFL uses a fraction of the energy of a conventional light bulb, while lasting longer.
