How to Apply
Follow the instructions in the "How to Apply" section of the official Notice of Examination (NOE).
For computerized testing, you must apply in person at the Computerized Testing Center. (Get directions here.) For all other exams, you may apply online or by mail.
Applying online:

To apply online, you will need a valid form of payment (credit card, debit card or bank card) or a public assistance ID number (see site for details).
Applying by mail:
To apply by mail, submit your properly completed application forms along with any payment (by money order only) to DCAS Application Unit, 1 Centre Street, 14th Floor, New York, New York 10007 and postmarked no later than the last date of the application filing period.
Applications are not accepted in person.

Online: You can download applications from our Application Forms page.
In person: Visit our Applications Center at 2 Lafayette Street, Manhattan. The Center is open Monday to Saturday (except holidays), from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
By mail: Mail a request along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to DCAS Application Unit, 1 Centre Street, 14th floor, New York, New York 10007. Requests must be received at least seven days before the filing closes.
