Licensing Exams


	DCAS conducts examinations for licenses to practice skilled trades in private industry within the five boroughs of New York City. Most licenses are issued by the Department of Buildings for Master Plumber, Master Electrician and Welder, for example. Although the City of New York does employ persons holding skilled trade licenses, these examinations do not lead to employment with the City of New York.
