DCAS has various resources and unique services available for the public.   • City Employment: DCAS offers both Civil Service Examinations for City employment and Licensing Exams to practice skilled trades in private industry within the five boroughs.

  • Public Auctions and Sales: Interested in purchasing a surplus automobile or a vacant lot? DCAS also offers the Sealed Bid offerings of City surplus including office equipment and scrap metal.

  • Internships: City internships and fellowships are a great introduction into municipal government. The City of New York offers many opportunities for motivated students to experience working for the greatest city in the world.

  • Green Book: The Who's Who of New York City government. An invaluable guide to city, state and federal offices, courts and officials in the five boroughs.
