The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is responsible for a wide array of City services, including real estate management, civil service administration and procurement. Being responsible for such a variety of activity, it is no surprise that DCAS has many interesting stories to tell. Civic Fame: Standing 25 feet high, this majestic lady has perched atop the Manhattan Municipal Building since 1913. Covered in gilded copper, Civic Fame was sculpted by the famed Adolph A. Weinman (1870-1952).
