This office building, originally the Excelsior Building, is on the northwest corner
of Centre and White Streets. Various City agencies share its space.
The building was designed by the architectural firm of Schwartz and Gross, best
known for designing apartment buildings, a number of which are landmarked. It was
constructed in 1911 at a cost $250,000.
