DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS (DCA) LAUNCHES YOUTUBE CHANNEL WITH PROTECT YOUR MONEY VIDEO SERIES

DCA Staff Offers Words of Wisdom to New Yorkers on Popular Consumer Topics in English and Spanish

Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) Commissioner Jonathan Mintz today announced the launch of the Agency’s official YouTube channel with the release of three new videos in its Protect Your Money video series. DCA’s Protect Your Money videos offer tips and information in English and Spanish about City programs and services available to help New Yorkers protect their hard-earned dollars.

“Our Protect Your Money videos were created to make New Yorkers savvier consumers.” said Commissioner Jonathan Mintz. “So whether you’re doing your taxes or are buying a used car, visit our new YouTube channel and get tips directly from our staff.”

The Protect Your Money Video series includes an introduction by Commissioner Mintz and covers:

Protect Your Money is an ongoing public awareness campaign featuring the testimonials of real New Yorkers who share their experiences. The current Protect Your Money campaign, Know Before You Enroll, features New Yorkers describing predatory school scams and highlighting free and low-cost education options.
