Online License Renewal Service for Laundries

After reading the instructions below, a link will guide you
to the online license renewal application log in page.


IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Please DO NOT use the Online License Renewal Service if you have already filed your renewal application by mail or in person.
  • If you must change your premises address, you will NOT be able to file your application online.
  • Submitting your renewal application online does not mean that your license is automatically renewed.
  • Laundry licenses will expire December 31, 2011. You may not operate as a Laundry business after December 31, 2011 unless you have received your new license. Operation without a current license is subject to penalties.
  • A surety bond (or third party bond) naming the Department of Consumer Affairs as the certificate holder must be paid in full and must not expire before the end of the licensing period (December 31, 2013). The amount of the bond depends upon the number of employees your business has:
    • for 0 to 25 employees: $500
    • for 26 to 50 employees: $1,500
    • for 51 to 75 employees: $2,500
    • for 76 to 125 employees: $3,000
    • for 126 or more employees: $5,000

To file your renewal application online, follow the six easy steps below. To process payment of your online renewal, you will need to use a major credit card. Please note that you will be charged a non-refundable *Convenience Fee* in addtion to the License Renewal Fee in order to submit your online application.   

Six Easy Steps to File Your Laundry
License Renewal Application Online:

Step 1:  Log on  

  • Enter your CAMIS Number (located in your license renewal letter) and License Number on the first screen of DCA's Online License Renewal Service to get started. If you don't know your CAMIS number, please call 311 and ask for the service "Online Payment Assistance-DCA License Renewal." You will be transferred to DCA.

Step 2:  Confirm Your License Details and Contact Information

  • If your telephone number is different from the number preprinted in the License Details box, please enter the correct telephone number in the "New Telephone No." field.
  • Please enter your e-mail address to receive confirmation that your online license renewal application was successfully submitted.
  • If your mailing address is different from the address preprinted on the online form, please select "No" and update your mailing address following the steps provided.

Step 3:  Answer All Background Questions and Affirm Legal Requirements

  • Complete the background questions by checking the appropriate boxes.
  • Affirm the legal requirements by checking the agreement box.
  • Enter your First and Last names, and your relationship to the business (e.g., owner, partner, director, etc.).

Step 4:  Complete Bond Information

  • Complete the bond information page, including name of the primary bond issuer, bond serial number, third party issuer, third party issuer's contact information, and bond expiration date. 
  • Please note: The bond naming the Department of Consumer Affairs as the certificate holder must be paid in full and must cover the licensing period (until December 31, 2013).

Step 5:  Submit Information and Enter Payment Details

  • Please review all information to ensure it is correct, then click the "Submit" button ONCE ONLY. You will be directed to the payment page.
  • Enter your payment information and click the "Submit" button ONCE ONLY.

Step 6:  Print Confirmation Number and Itemized Receipt

  • A confirmation number and itemized receipt will appear at the end of the process. Print a copy for your records. 
  • Once you have submitted your renewal application, you will receive a notification from DCA within 15 days. Please do NOT submit your license renewal application by mail or in person once you have successfully submitted your application online. Submitting duplicate applications will create delays in renewal of your license.
