On February 6, the Commission adopted its Final Districting Plan for the New York City Council. On February 8, the plan was deemed adopted pursuant to New York City Charter Section 51(d) and filed with the City Clerk on March 4. On March 22, the Final Districting Plan was submitted to the United States Department of Justice for Section 5 pre-clearance under the federal Voting Rights Act.
