Throughout the year, the Mayor's Office will be offering college students the opportunity to meet and interact with successful professional women as part of Mentor it Forward, an initiative by the NYC Commission on Women's Issues in partnership with Barnard College. Each Mentor it Forward event is a 1-hour “speed mentoring” session wherein students will be able to network individually with multiple industry leaders for a few minutes each. This time can be used to ask questions about the challenges to women in their respective fields, career advice, and to receive feedback on their career paths.
As a participant of this program, we hope that you will not only gain experience from professional women as a mentee, but also become the mentor to the younger generation. You can do this by volunteering for a "speed mentoring" session with High School students interested in hearing from you about your college experience.
