Purpose

This operational research project’s aim is to uncover underlying patterns that could signal potential fraud using data from the Administration for Children’s Service (ACS) Child Care data system- the Automated Child Care Information System (ACCIS).

Process

In partnership with the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), and the Human Resources Administration (HRA), CIDI plans to develop an analytical tool (using SAS) that will identify providers of child care services who have been flagged for potential fraudulent financial behavior. Once these providers have been identified, this list will be provided to ACS to investigate. CIDI and its partners will proactively analyze current child care data to uncover potential fraud on an ongoing basis.
