The Nurse Career
Ladders program provides scholarships for income eligible New Yorkers to attend
nurse training programs leading to employment at an HHC facility.
The New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation and
the New York City Department of Education have partnered to offer an 11-month
Licensed Practical Nurse training program. Located at Goldwater Hospital's
beautiful campus on Roosevelt Island, this program will accommodate 40 students
per year. Program runs from September through
June.
Eligibility: New Yorkers, ages 17 and above with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must pass all required entrance exams and must meet the income eligibility requirements and must be authorized to work in the United States.
