CEO has a diverse array of programs for adolescent youth, working adults, and young children and families. Our programs are located throughout the five boroughs, and offer education, employment, training, and youth development services. Search below for the right program for you or someone you know.

Youth Development Programs
Education
CUNY ASAP (Accelerated Study in Associate Programs)
This program provides academic and economic support to help students complete their Associate degrees in an accelerated manner.

CUNY Preparatory High School
Offers out-of-school youth full-time study focused on GED completion and preparation for college admission. Rigorous academic standards high quality instruction, and a supportive community distinguishes CUNY Prep from other GED programs.

Model Young Adult Literacy Programs
Offer basic literacy and math instruction for young adults, with a focus on employment, incentives to sustain attendance, and support services.

Teen ACTION
A service learning program for middle and high school students in high-poverty communities. Students develop community service projects to improve self-esteem, school performance, and reduce risky behaviors and teen pregnancy.

Employment & Training
MillionTrees Training Program
Places young adults in green-collar apprenticeships that lead to certification in composting, horticultural, or pesticide apprentice training

Young Adult Internship Program
Provides out-of school and out-of-work youth with paid internships, employment and educational placements assistance and follow-up services

Health
School-Based Health Centers
These centers offer comprehensive reproductive and primary healthcare services to students in five high schools.

Programs for Court Involved Youth & Young Adults
Educational Expansion on Rikers Island
Literacy, GED preparation and testing, English as Second Language, vocational training and counseling services for Rikers Island inmates ages 19 to 24 years.

Learning Independence for Empowerment (LIFE) Transitions Program
Offers youth in secure detention facilities weekly educational and empowerment workshops and an opportunity to form a bond with programs staff; young people are encouraged to continue in the program upon their return to the community where they can attend workshops and receive additional support services.

Model Education: Getting Out & Staying Out
A mentorship program supporting the transition of young inmates from Rikers Island to the community.

Model Education: CUNY Catch
This program provides young inmates from Rikers Island with post-incarceration educational services, including GED and college preparatory classes.

NYC Justice Corps
Provides young adults involved in the criminal justice system with skills building, social support, and leadership training through meaningful service to their communities as well as internship, employment, and educational placement opportunities.

Financial Literacy
Youth Financial Empowerment
This program provides individual development accounts to youth aging out of foster care for housing, education and employment related activities.

Workforce Development Programs
Job Placement
Community Based Organization Outreach, For Organizations Only
Places residents of high-poverty communities into jobs by networking with CBOs to refer their clients to the City's Workforce1 Career Centers.

Employment Works
Helps individuals on probation obtain and retain jobs, build skills and receive educational training.

Job Training, Retention & Advancement
NYC Business Solutions Training Funds, For Organizations Only
This initiative provides grants to businesses to support customized training to retain and promote their employees.

Advance at Work (Career Advancement Program)
Provides free, professional, personalized services to help working individuals earn more, get promotions, and access benefits.  Customers and their career coaches plan for long-term career advancement and higher paying positions in healthcare, retail, security, and other high-growth occupations.

Nursing Career Ladders: Licensed Practical Nurse
An accelerated program to train and certify students as Licensed Practical Nurses in less than a year; graduates are placed in Health and Hospital Corporation (HHC) position earning over $40,000 per year.

Sector-Focused Career Center
This program creates job placement and training centers focused on specific economic sectors in New York City.

Access to Public Resources & Work Support
ACCESS NYC
An online screening tool that connects low-income New Yorkers to human services benefits.

Child Care Tax Credit
A new local tax credit for child care expenses for low-income New Yorkers.

Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC): Increasing Uptake in NYC
This initiative distributes completed tax forms to EITC- eligible households that have not filed for the Credit, based on an examination of prior year tax records.

NYC Training Guide
A web-based directory that matches job seekers to available training program, including participant ratings and completion rates to assist in making the best selection.

Office of Financial Empowerment
This office promotes asset building, financial education, and protection from predatory practices for low-income New Yorkers.


Families and Young Children Programs
Parents & Young Children
Nurse Family Partnership
A nationally acclaimed home-visitation program for low-income first time mothers with significant positive outcomes for mothers and their children.

Food Access
Healthy Bodegas, For Bodega Owners Only
This initiative expands retail access to healthy foods in Harlem, South Bronx, and Central Brooklyn, including campaigns to promote low-fat milk and fresh fruits and vegetables.
