In March of 2006, Mayor Bloomberg created the Commission for Economic Opportunity to analyze the causes, scope, and consequences of poverty. In September of 2006, the Commission presented its findings and recommendations. The Mayor has established the Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO) to coordinate the process of turning the recommendation into policy and practice. |
