Commissioner Patricia L. Gatling appointed Nimer Basha as Assistant Commissioner for Human Resources. In his new position, Mr. Basha administers all personnel functions for the Commission. He also serves as inter-agency liaison and works closely with the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners on all agency matters. Previously, Mr. Basha worked for 7 years at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where he handled all administrative duties for the Major Narcotics Investigations Bureau. In addition, he supervised the office’s law school interns and participated in numerous community functions for the District Attorney. Following the events of 9/11, Mr. Basha counseled young people against racial profiling. Mr. Basha received his B.A. in Media and Communication Studies from Pace University graduating Suma Cum Laude.
