Commission Kicks Off Pregnancy & Employment Rights Campaign, 08-20-12
The Commission kicked off a two-month campaign, distributing thousands of bi-lingual Pregnancy & Employment Rights info cards and posters in several languages to clinics, hospitals, and community-based organizations throughout the City to inform women of the protections against illegal firing or other actions for pregnant woman under the NYC Human Rights Law.

The Commission, NY Center for Interpersonal Development, and Victory Archers hosted a tolerance and respect workshop for young adults from Staten Island. National tournament archery competitor and Coach Larry Brown was the featured speaker at the event that emphasized individual and team effort, equality, and playing fair.

Commission Adds Four Attorneys, 07-02-12
The Commission added four new attorneys to its staff. They are: Vaughn Browne, Katherine Carroll, Aarti Garg, and Andrew Sonpon, Jr. The attorneys are assigned to the Commission’s Law Enforcement Bureau, responsible for the intake, investigation, and prosecution of complaints alleging violations of the Human Rights Law.
