Advance Registration Tours
The following tours of City Hall and Tweed Courthouse are available by advance reservation only and are offered free of charge. Fill out the request form below to request a reservation. Please note, all tours are 1 hour long and consist of standing and walking through the buildings for the entire duration.

  • City Hall
    Tours of City Hall are typically offered for groups (10-20 people or one class) on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 10:30 AM and for individuals on Thursdays at 10:00 AM. The minimum age for this tour is 9 years (4th grade). The tour is limited to 20 people. Please request a reservation. To request a group tour reservation, your group must contain a minimum of 10 people.

    Please note that, due to ongoing rehabilitation work, certain areas within City Hall may be closed to tours or under construction.

    City Hall tour dates currently available:
    • Thursday, July 31 at 10:00 AM for individuals
    • Thursday, August 7 at 10:00 AM for individuals
    • Tuesday, August 12 at 10:30 AM for groups
    • Thursday, August 14 at 10:00 AM for individuals
    • Tuesday, August 19 at 10:30 AM for groups
    • Thursday, August 21 at 10:00 AM for individuals
    • Wednesday, August 27 at 10:30 AM for groups
    • Thursday, August 28 at 10:00 AM for individuals

  • Tweed Courthouse
    Tours of Tweed Courthouse are offered for individuals on select Fridays at 12:00 PM. The minimum age for this tour is 15 years (10th grade). The tour is strictly limited to 20 people. (Please note that Tweed is no longer a courthouse. Today, Tweed is a working office building and home to the Department of Education and a New York City public school.) Please request a reservation.

    Tweed Courthouse tour dates currently available:
    • Friday, July 25 at 12:00 PM for individuals
    • Friday, August 8 at 12:00 PM for individuals
    • Friday, August 22 at 12:00 PM for individuals

City Hall Non-Reservation Tours
The following tour of City Hall is available without advance reservation and is offered free of charge. Please note, all tours are 1 hour long and consist of standing and walking through the buildings for the entire duration.

  • Tour Option 3: City Hall Lunchtime Tour

    A tour of City Hall is available on most Wednesdays at 12:00 PM without a reservation. This tour is limited to 20 people and is offered year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. The minimum age for this tour is 4th grade. Please sign-in for this tour is at the NYC tourism kiosk, which is located at the southern end of City Hall Park on the east side of Broadway at Barclay Street. Please register the day of the tour between the hours of 10:00-11:30 AM.

    Please note that, due to ongoing rehabilitation work, certain areas within City Hall may be closed to tours or under construction.
