The City's
administrative law tribunals decide hundreds of thousands of cases each year.
The tribunals are many New Yorkers' most significant experience with the justice
system. It is therefore critical that New York City residents are confident that
their cases heard in City tribunals are decided fairly by well-trained,
impartial administrative law judges and hearing officers. My office is dedicated
to ensuring that every person who appears at a City tribunal is fully afforded
the opportunity to be heard, whether or not that person is represented by an
attorney or speaks English fluently.
This Web site details projects and
initiatives my office has undertaken to support and improve the City's
administrative law tribunals, as well as links to tribunal Web sites and contact
information for this office. I am honored to be serving as the City's first
Administrative Justice Coordinator, and am dedicated to helping our City's
tribunals set a standard for administrative justice around the nation.
