NYU Gallatin School, Literacy Project
Increasing literacy skills, introducing new
teaching methodologies, and celebrating newly published writers from the NYC
adult learning community

It includes a Literacy in Action service-learning course; a weekly writing class taught by Gallatin student-teachers; the annual Literacy Review, which publishes writing by adult learners throughout NYC; the Literacy Review publication celebration for 200 guests, including readings by many of the newly-published writers; and the annual all-day, free Literacy Review Workshops in Teaching Writing to Adults in Basic Ed, GED and ESOL Programs
