Highbridge Community Life Center (HCLC) held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for their new facility on September 10, 2009 in the Bronx. HCLC will be able to consolidate its health careers and adult education programs into one location. The 9,000 square feet facility will integrate effective use of digital technology into the curriculum to help maximize student achievement with enhanced career opportunities.
HCLC provides free, quality education, job training, and social services. It ranks among the highest-performing adult education programs in NY State. The new center will help HCLC reach out to neighborhoods in the Bronx and Manhattan, as well as meet the growing demand for trained workers in the health sector.
