|  Literacy Recognition Awards Each year for the past 20 years, the Literacy Assistance Center has celebrated the achievements of NYC literacy practitioners at its annual Literacy Recognition Award Ceremony. Candidates are nominated by their peers for outstanding contributions to the success of their students, their programs and/or to the NYC literacy community.
