Prevention and Detection: October 2008
Prevention and Detection is a lesson that explains the concepts of prevention, early detection, and health screenings. It also prepares students for a field trip to a health screening event at one of the City's public hospitals or clinics during the month of October 2008. During the visit, students apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in the classroom. After the field trip, students reflect on their experiences and practice presenting information about health screenings to family, friends, and community members.
