Educators, former students, City and state officials, and others are coming together to envision the future of adult education in New York City. We are working together to set goals for improving the system over the next five years. We will then develop a plan to achieve these goals.
This visioning process began in mid-2007 and will continue into 2008. More than 150 people have been involved so far, many of whom took part in a day-long retreat in September 2007. We will involve many more people as we continue the work.

We conducted a survey of the 65 retreat participants prior to the meeting. We asked a number of questions about what is working well in the current system and what we should focus on to improve it.
