Gaining Access Through Education (G.A.T.E.) Program
The Office of Youth Development is committed to strengthening the educational opportunities available to youth in care. The G.A.T.E. (Gaining Access Through Education) program, which includes the pre-college and college program, was created by the Office of Youth Development to increase the number of youth in care who successfully complete high school and/or post-secondary education. Through the G.A.T.E. programs, youth in care will find continued opportunities for growth, support and guidance throughout their educational journey.
The G.A.T.E. programs are funded by New Yorkers for Children and New York Community Trust. All students must be enrolled in the G.A.T.E. program(s) to qualify for services.
