ACS Jobs FAQs

I can no longer view a position on the ACS Internet. What happened?

You will not have the ability to view or apply for any Job Vacancy Notice after the 'Post Until' date has passed.

Should I still continue to send resumes to ACS Personnel?

Once you have identified a position you wish to be considered for, simply upload your cover letter/resume on to the Children's Services Jobs System. It is no longer necessary to submit your resume directly to Children's Services Personnel.  If you are unable to submit your resume online, please mail your cover letter/resume to the following address:

NYC Children's Services
Office of Personnel Services
150 William Street, 16th Floor
New York, NY 10038

Please remember to include the Job Vacancy Number (JVN) you are applying for.

What happens after I finish applying?

Once your cover letter/resume is received, you will receive an automated email response acknowledging receipt. Next, the document(s) you provided will be reviewed to ensure you meet the minimum Qualification Requirements of the civil service title listed in the job vacancy announcement.

Will I receive an interview for all the jobs for which I applied?

Due to the large volume of responses, only those individuals whose experience and skills best meet the requirements of the position will be contacted directly by the hiring manager for an interview.
