Preventive Service Recommended Awards: Evidence Based, Evidence Informed, and Promising Practice Models   

We are pleased to announce the recommended contract awardees for additional preventive programming for young people who have child welfare and juvenile justice involvement and their families. These new programs will dramatically expand the availability of home-based services tailored to the needs of families with teens. The programs will be targeted at preventing foster care placements for teens that come to the attention of ACS’ Division of Child Protection, and will allow for expedited discharge of young people in foster care and juvenile delinquent placements.  The new services are all evidence-based, evidence-informed, or promising practice models that have demonstrated effectiveness in working with teens and their families.  In addition, twenty of our preventive agencies are converting from general preventive services to evidence-based models.
