This alert lists areas where major street construction projects and street events will interrupt the normal flow of traffic. This is a supplementary report to the published Weekly Traffic Advisory and Weekend Advisory.
Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) Resurfacing Work
Queens-Bound Lane Closures from Atlantic Avenue to the Brooklyn Bridge
NYC DOT will mill a portion of the Queens-bound Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE i278) from Atlantic Avenue to the Brooklyn Bridge this month. Road work is planned for Monday, June 16 through Tuesday, June 24 on weeknights from 11pm to 5am.
Only one lane will be open during work hours. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the roadway during these times. Traffic will return to its original configuration after work hours. No work planned for the night of Thursday, June 19.
Paving is scheduled to begin the week of July 7. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or emergencies.
