Pay or Challenge Violations Issued for Failing to Post Energy Efficiency Grades (Local Law 33) in DOB NOW: Safety


Building owners are required by Local Law 33 to post a building energy efficiency rating label. If you have been issued a violation for failing to comply, violations must be paid or challenged in DOB NOW: Safety.

Access to DOB NOW: Safety
To log into DOB NOW, all users need an active eFiling account. To create an eFiling account, visit the DOB NOW Registration page at www.nyc.gov/dobnowtips for assistance.

Once you are logged in, you may choose to either pay or challenge the Energy Grade Violation. Visit DOB NOW: Safety - Local Law 33 of 2018 for a step-by-step guide on how to pay the penalty or challenge the violation.
