Specialized High School Test Information

The City offers entrance examinations for Specialized High Schools each October. NYC public school students must talk to their Guidance Counselor to get an admissions ticket for the test, called the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT).

Students who are in the 10th, 11th and 12th Grades are not eligible to take the entrance exam for New York City Specialized High Schools.
