The New York State Department of Labor received a National Emergency Grant(NEG) to hire temporary workers to assist with Hurricane Sandy recovery work. Governor Cuomo is using the NEG funds to hire workers through the NY Jobs for Cleanup Work program. To be eligible for this program, you must have been unemployed before the hurricane or you must have lost your work as a direct result of Hurricane Sandy.
