New York State's 511 provides information about emergency or planned closures of bridges. You also can get related traffic and transit information from 511.

You can make a complaint about bridges in New York City and connecting New York City to New Jersey. You can report problems such as potholes, graffiti, dirt, debris, broken fences, snow, ice, bike and walkway conditions, and structural defects on bridges.Complaints are routed differently depending on the location and whether the bridge has a toll or not.

Toll bridges within the City include:

  • Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (formerly Triborough Bridge)
  • Throgs Neck Bridge
  • Verrazano Narrows Bridge
  • Bronx-Whitestone Bridge
  • Henry Hudson Bridge
  • Marine Parkway Bridge
