Medicaid Information for Children and Teens

The City accepts requests for information about medical and dental care services for children 21 and under who currently have Medicaid insurance. Children with an open Medicaid case, age 21 and under, can receive preventive health services and continuing medical and dental care.

Depending on the age of the child, coverage may include:

  • Complete physical exam
  • Health history review
  • Immunizations
  • Blood tests including lead, anemia, and sickle cell screening
  • Growth and development evaluation
  • Hearing and vision screening
  • Nutrition screening
  • Obesity screening
  • Assessment of existing chronic conditions, treatment, and referrals
  • Dental screening
