Tree Removal or Natural Feature Change in SNAD

You can report tree removal or unpermitted change to natural features in areas of the City that are zoned as Special Natural Area Districts (SNAD). Natural features include trees and forests, rock outcroppings, slopes, streams and wetlands.

SNADs are located in:

  • The Bronx in Community Board 8, Riverdale
  • Queens in Community Board 7, Fort Trotten
  • Staten Island Greenbelt in Community Boards 1 and 2, including South Richmond and Hillside

There are no SNADs in Manhattan or Brooklyn.


Report tree removal or natural feature change in a SNAD.
