The City loans cleaning equipment to volunteer workers that are doing public cleanup projects. Community groups and block associations conducting volunteer efforts to keep the City clean can borrow equipment such as brooms, shovels, and rakes from the Department of Sanitation. These items must be returned after the cleanup.
