Noise from Helicopter

The City accepts complaints about helicopter noise including reports of helicopters that are flying too low, hovering, or passing by on unapproved tour routes.

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) in cooperation with Eastern Region Helicopter Council (ERHC) and local tour operators developed the New York City Helicopter Sightseeing Plan. The plan addresses the concerns the local community and elected officials have about the impact of helicopter sightseeing flights from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport on surrounding neighborhoods.
