The City will provide information about the New York City Noise Code, which took effect July 1, 2007. The Noise Code aims to decrease noise from construction sites, motorcycles, "boom cars," air conditioners, nightclubs and refuse collecting vehicles. The code also addresses noise from animals, ice cream trucks, and other sources.
