The limited-time opportunity for new participants to open a New York City’s SaveUSA account has ended for 2013.

The SaveUSA program offers New Yorkers an incentive to save at tax time while funds last. If you file your taxes at a participating free tax site, you could be randomly picked to open a SaveUSA account. If you save at least $200 of your refund for a year, you earn 50 cents for every dollar you save. If you save $1,000, you earn the maximum $500 match.
