NYCHA residents must pay fees and surcharges for
parking, heavy-duty appliances, and repair for damages caused by residents,
which include charges for the costs of labor, materials and equipment. A 20
percent discount for parking fees and appliance surcharge fees will be given to
82 percent of NYCHA residents, specifically senior citizens, the disabled and
residents who pay less than ceiling rent.
