The City answers questions regarding the installation, replacement or operation of water meters in residential or commercial buildings in New York City.
The City is in the process of installing new automated water meter reading (AMR) devices throughout the City. The devices automatically transmit water meter readings to the Department of Environmental Protection for more accurate billing. Contractors are canvassing door-to-door to install the AMR devices.
