Nonpayment Eviction Proceeding Information

The City requires that in order to evict a nonpaying tenant, the property owner must obtain a judgment of possession and a warrant directing the sheriff or marshal to evict the tenant. To justify eviction, you need to present evidence in Housing Court demonstrating that a tenant's problem behavior was exceptionally bad over a long period of time.

The Housing Court provides information on how to start a case for eviction proceeding.
