Housing Court and Tenant-Landlord Dispute Information

The City provides information for landlords and tenants with ongoing issues or disputes, including eviction. The only legal way a building owner may evict a nonpaying tenant who refuses to move voluntarily is through a nonpayment eviction proceeding in Housing Court.

You can also get a brochure in English or Spanish about landlord-tenant legal rights and obligations, housing court proceedings, and other issues related to landlord-tenant disputes.
