Income Savings Requirement for Homeless Shelter Residents

The State recently mailed a Notice of Decision to people who receive Public Assistance. There is a new Income Savings Requirement if you live in a shelter. If you live in a shelter and your household has income from a job, you may be required to contribute to a savings account. The amount you must contribute each month depends on how much money your household earns.

You will receive a mailing from the Human Resources Administration in January with directions about making your monthly contribution.

If you have questions about the Income Savings Requirement, you should speak to your caseworker at your shelter.
