You can make a complaint to the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) against a NYPD officer for discourtesy, offensive language, excessive or unnecessary use of force, and other abuse of authority such as threats or improper stop and frisk.
If you suspect a police officer or a civilian member of the NYPD of serious misconduct, corruption, or other criminal activity, you should call 911.
You can make a complaint to the Department of Investigation if you suspect that a City employee, contractor, person doing business with the City, or a person receiving benefits from the City is guilty of criminal activity or corruption.
If a City worker is using his or her position of employment for personal benefit, you can make a complaint to the Conflict of Interest Board.
