The City provides the Ready New York guides for information about how to prepare for emergencies in New York City. The guides also contain information about how to put together a Go Bag and an emergency supply kit.
Select guides are available in English, Spanish, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Urdu, and Yiddish, as well as others. A pocket guide, quick reference card, or audio version for the hard of hearing is also available. In addition to the general Ready New York Guide, there are specialized guides for: - Creating an Emergency Plan

- Kids, including elementary, middle and high school students
- Seniors and people with disabilities

- Pandemic flu
- Flooding situations

- Staying healthy in the summer heat
