Inmate Information

The City provides information about inmates in the New York City Department of Correction (DOC) jail system.

If you are planning to visit a City jail but are not feeling well, you are strongly encouraged to postpone your visit. This is to protect inmates, staff and the general public. 


Get information about:


Contact Corizon to tell them about an inmate with diabetes, asthma, depression, or another medical condition that needs attention.


Call 311 to ask permission for an inmate to visit a hospital or attend a funeral for immediate family, or to notify an inmate that a family member has died or is seriously ill.


Call 311 to get a copy of a medical record for an inmate or former inmate of a City jail.
