The City reviews architectural plans to determine if they meet fire code. Plans reviewed include fire safety, fire protection, fire alarm, range hood, bulk fuel storage, or other technical specifications.
The Fire Department Bureau of Fire Prevention has engineering and code review professionals on staff to review, update, and provide in-house support for plan and variance reviews. The Fire Department reviews requests for fire code variances.
