Financial Education Network Information

Through the Financial Education Network, the City provides information about financial education programs and services, including the SafeStart bank account program.

Financial Empowerment Centers offer one-on-one financial counseling for free by professional counselors in person or by phone in English and Spanish.

Providers in the Financial Education Network offer free or low-cost financial education classes, workshops, and counseling services citywide. Subjects include getting a bank account, saving money, managing credit, debt and homeownership, and money management.

You can use the Financial Education Network Directory to find a provider near you. You should contact providers directly to confirm program schedules and details and to schedule a visit.
